We just procured a multitude of HP ProDesk 600 G1 desktops. When installing the Symantec Endpoint Encryption agents and we reboot the workstation. The Windows 7 operating system boots to the "Recover Windows" or "Start Windows Normally".
When trying to "Start Windows Normally". It crashes again.
Here are the things we did prior to installing the management agent:
- Uninstalled all HP Security and any security related software on the desktop (HP Security, Sanitizer, etc.)
- Checked the UEFI (Bios) settings to validate no issues.
- Validated the UEFI (Bios) firmware is up to the latest and greatest code from HP.
- Followed the following best practices article: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH149543
The issue only occurs after installing the Symantec Endpoint Encryption Client_64.msi.
Does anyone have any other ideas outside of contacting Symantec Support?
* NOTE: Symantec Support has been giving us the run around on most of the items related to encryption.
