How to disable SEP when compiling

I need a way to stop SEP causing massive slowdown when compiling.  We have a lot of files, maybe 100k and 10 GB of intermediate files and when our developers are trying to compile with SEP enabled we sometimes get 100% disk usage and very slow compiles.  How can we disable SEP automatic access to certain directories, certain file types or if necessary certain drives.
